Well, personalization is easy. If the car is there for you, your settings can be sent to the car so everything's adjusted the way you had it last time. It's not rocket science. Radio stations, your phone, contacts, etc., all can be stored in a driver or user profile.

At which point, all that information is immediately available to law enforcement without a warrant, under the Third Party Doctrine.

And who is responsible when that personalization information gets hacked?

These products should be forced to have a privacy setup which guarantees that even if Facebook does accidentally get some private data, it goes no further and gets used for nothing. If they aren't safe for use in medical situations, they aren't safe to be released onto the street.
