I think AI will slowly lead to more structured code and data. Of course it's the beginning so it's a mess. But, in fact, you can "hack the prompt" of coding AI by wtiting a well defined code with a well defined data structure and, then, you will see AI kicking in quite well for repetitive parts. To get the maximum from AI you better use longer, and clearer, function name (or classe or whatever), giving a more self-documented code. In the longer run, I would say that code and data structures will improve. Just there is a mess now as we need to learn how to use the tool.

Publishing data for review is like publishing code for review. It can be used to validate that everything is fine but few have resources to do that and less will do that. So science is like any business, publish to keep cash coming in. And when your entire team is living on the quantity, and not the quality, of publications, you publish a lot with a low quality.

Is it for free ? No you have to watch ads. I am ok with that. So you get ads from Google, then ads from the youtuber because Google don't pay well and/or demonetize like hello, and then Google ads again, you begin to feel that it's a bit too much ads. And, sorry, but Youtube ads, from Google, are very deceptive ("buy that product your gov want to ban because it solves everything, including climate change, human mortality and much more"), so you end up using ad block. And when they go after you, you just leave the platform and find all the same elsewhere.

"The Law" don't exist. Each country has it's own law that might be quite different from others. Is downloading copyrighted content illegal ? Not in all country where only distribution is illegal but downloading is legal, the idea is that the user may be unable to know if that downloading is illegal and the burden is left on the distributor only. And this is compatible with international treaties. Your own opinion is not "The Law" and the country you live in is not "The Country". So in some country what openai did would be perfectly legal.

I don't see how human brain is less automated in processing data. Slower but still automated. And once you know something from learning, you output it in a slightly different manner than the original one but it is still the overall same content. When I say "Inflation is pushing Price up", I am quoting a newspaper, in slightly different way, so my memory should be deleted because it's copyrighted content ?
