I have been curious about the maintenance aspects of electric vs ICE. Now Tesla has had a lot of quality issues based on consumer reports, news, etc.

Is there anywhere that has done a comparison for maintenance costs? And I am not referring to things just like oil changes, but all in. So when the battery needs replacement what will that cost to the owner? What does that cost to the environment? etc.

Download vaccine PDF from internet. Print it out. Enter bogus info (or copy it from social media pictures). Done!

No gym, restaurant, or any business will have the expertise to determine if something is real or fake and there is no way to validate even the real ones. A lot of the mass vaccinations places told people not to lose the card as they were not tracking who got what shot when.

Depends. I have worked in pharmaceuticals and CROs. We have had many drugs of all types get far into phase 3 (on average 5 - 10 years ) and long term side effects (including death) have come up. You never hear about the serious ones because usually the drug trial is stopped and never reaches markets.

Now I dont know the context of what you watched but was it A) after a vaccine has gone through Phase 1 -3 clinical drug trials and been approved we have never seen long term side effects after 1-2 months or B) any vaccine after 1 -2 months in phase 1 has never shown any new side effects?

I am guessing it was A. We definitely have a lot of data over a short time span to be confident of side effects (including the chance of death - though very very very small) based off of the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System. We have no long term data that most drug trials will have after 5 to 10 years of study.

For those people wanting the long term data first nothing will convince the until we have the data.

What I find is missing in a lot of these solutions is what if the info is wrong? How does one fix it? Because a lot of times trying to fix your information in a government system becomes like an act of god. For example google stories of those wrongly put on government lists (no fly lists, sex offender lists, Social security thinks you are dead, etc.) or even better when you have to deal with the IRS when the issue is in your favor.

So will there be an easy to call 800#? What if the wrong info prevents me from business travel or seeking medical treatments outside my state? Can I sue someone if the info is wrong?

I think that is a big problem as well. Government shouldn't be using taxes to pick winners and losers (not a popular opinion I know). Another issue is when we talk about making the tax code simple is we overlook all the taxes and just focus say on income tax. There are so many other taxes (and the always classic it isn't a tax but a "FEES") imposed by the both the federal and state level that the true impact of taxes to the individual is hidden by design. For example Trying to figure out your tax burden if you move states isn't simple. Sure income tax is lower here, but higher property tax and sales tax, and other dozens of fees.

For states I have always wondered why can't we simple get rid of all taxes, fees, etc, and deductions and credits. A state simply says here % of your money we will collect each year. Then it is easier to compare moving to FL vs. CA vs. MA, etc.

And the answer of course is simple. A complex tax system allows being able to tax people more and allows buying of votes.

100% agree.

I keep telling people politicians cannot fix the current tax system. We need to scrap the whole thing and release a highly simplified tax system. However that would mean you wouldn't need a large IRS, or companies like turbotax, and lobbying money would dry up. So it will never happen.
