All Pi's are a little different and some take to overclocking better than others. Some have slightly shitty wifi. I remember running my Pi 4 (4gb) at ~2.1ghz or thereabouts not too long after they came out.

After all the complaints about heat they released a bootloader (firmware?) update that seemed to lower the threshold for overclocking, at least on mine.

That said, I've since grabbed an 8 gig (because I have a legitimate problem) and it runs all day long at 2.0ghz...

So I'm not sure how this is news, and for anyone it might matter to, they probably already know.

Just my $0.02CAD *shrug*.

Not only did you forget how to make sports cars and had to get in bed with Subaru (GT86) and BMW (the alleged "Supra")

As the owner of a '16 FR-S, I urge you to reconsider that one. That car is perhaps the most fun I've ever had behind the wheel. More technical than a Miata, and while the torque dip sucks, it does encourage you to plan ahead and know how to rev match. It's a momentum car, rather than a MOAR POOOWWWEERRRRR type of thing. Above ~5.5k rpm the car just comes alive, and all of a sudden the dip in torque seems far behind you and of no concern. The cornering in my car is as good or better than anything less than 2x the price. Over 2xMSRP you get into Porsche's, and well, they're Porsche's.

It seems like next year we'll start hearing about the 2.4L second-gen, but honestly, I won't be looking to replace mine.

That all said, the Miata is excellent: I mean no disrespect to it. Some gorgeous summer day or another you'll be heading home from work, drop the top, and love your life the whole way.

That Zupra though... Ugh. The less said the better.

This was a stupid response and will probably cause more intellectual dishonesty in the future. The fuck was he thinking when he said that, particularly in that way?

Double blind is like security through obscurity (am I on a nerdy site?) and we all know that security through obscurity does not work in practice even if it sounds good in theory.

Security through obscurity does not work alone, but can be a fun (and perhaps useful) layer, assuming one does not invest too much time into it. To stall with the hope of detecting (in a security context) if nothing else.

Why double blind? Because people are people even when they're not intentionally being the absolute worst.

IMO, YMMV, etcetc.

I agree with your assessment, but this is the part that has me scratching my head. What are they doing with them "outside of business hours" that will "maximize profits"? If not maximizing profits, what will they be doing with them "off hours"? This might be even more baffling than a ~$50 micro GameGear with 4 games times 4 colours...

I'm going to try and ring up Sega to see if I can buy some weed from them. Their shit's gotta be cosmic .

Suffice it to say, yes.

SSD's are cheap enough

Use the right tool for the right job. I tinker with a few Raspberry Pi's (I daren't specify how many, it'd be kind of embarrassing), and constantly backing up/restoring microSD's, flashing new images (uncompressing a 400 meg archive that balloons up to a 2.something gig image) is not well suited to an SSD. I use my old, dime a dozen, spinny hard drives.

I actually own a pair of 6tb WD-Red drives. They were not dime a dozen :P . I'll look into this. From what I can tell the higher density platters are maybe more reliable? Or are they just cheaper?
