the wife and i enjoy eating yogurt. we thought it might be cheaper to stop buying it in the store and get a yogurt maker, preferably one that makes the yogurt in those small portion containers for ease of portability.
does anyone have experience/opinions concerning homemade yogurt and yogurt makers? i know you can do it without a machine, but this is about savings *and* convenience.
i was looking at the girmi jc70. and a spare set of jars. i like that it has glass jars and doesn't require separate milk heating.

Some words of wisdom: When you start scooping out your yogurt, you'll notice water forming at the bottom. Don't mix this into your yogurt (it'll make the yogurt too thin). Simply dump it out.
Watch the Good Eats on making yogurt. He explains it and its quite easy to make it from his recipes.

pigskin is for footballs. which puts it outside the realm of my interests. why eat skin when there's stuff like bacon?
