This is the exact opposite of what I want. A macbook pro needs to survive a fall from the passenger seat of a chevy suburban (more than 3' high) onto concrete. Today you get about one drop per corner before the aluminum deforms too much and can't take the beating and the display breaks. Maybe the new OLED are less prone to cracking. At no time in my life did I look at my work issued MBP and think "I wish this were lighter" particularly the 13/14" models

The people who dumped it there are long dead, or will soon be aging out of life anyways. It's everybody's problem now. Being on the literal bottom of the ocean and "missing" for many decades it's probably not doing much harm down there.
