Journal stoolpigeon's Journal: Just Ordered Ladybug Larva 3
Last year my wife wanted an ant farm for her birthday. It was a big hit with the whole family, so this year she wanted something else with bugs. So I got her a Ladybug kit. It came with a coupon for Ladybug larva that I just redeemed. They should ship the 14th, and so we should have them shortly after that. Hopefully they will all make it here o.k. and we'll have fun watching them become lady bugs.

They become ravenous aphid destroying machines. Watching them work on a patch of aphids is almost as much fun as feeding ant lions. Although with the ant farm history you might not be too keen on feeding ant lions.

That was her other request - but the lady bugs were easy to get this time. We'll do the praying mantis next year probably. Though, maybe not, depends but now I'm talking about things that must remain secret for the time being.
