Comment On my 3rd Warranty Charge 5 (Score 1) 32

Got a charge 5 towards the end of its life cycle, and it has been struggling to hold charge since before the December update cycle, the batteries in these things seem to only last about a year until they die. I have a collection of 2 dead Charge 5s on my desk, all from the battery dying after about a year, since its always about a year in I always get the warranty replacement.

Comment Surprised they didnt see this coming, we all did. (Score 5, Insightful) 111

Everyone said it from the start, no one wants 16 streaming platforms with different content on them. We all want all the content in one monthly subscription. Despite this Hollywood decided to split the content across different places and now cannot understand why no one wants to subscribe. Sometimes it is amazing how much money those people get paid to make such obviously bad decisions.

They would have a better chance of catching up to their 'rival' SpaceX if they started to launch satellites into orbit sometime. Right now SpaceX has an infinite head start. Its like a championship winning sports team vs one that has only played a couple friendly matches.

What if, i know this sounds crazy but stay with me, you could put some kind of device on your roof which turned sunlight into electricity. Then in the Summer you could power your AC from the sunlight you are trying to stay away from. Someone should start working on this, could change the world I tell you.

First it was invasive ads, then paywalls. After that came them getting governments to pass laws requiring social media and search engines to pay them when they are linked. Now they are sueing OpenAI because its ChatBot said that it was trained its websites? How long until they just directly take $3 a month out our bank accounts to "keep journalism alive"

Comment Isnt Gmail a private business? (Score 1) 213

Is Gmail not a private platform/business that is free to do whatever it wants? Is this not the same argument GOP uses about what Ads Facebook should carry or whether or not a bakery has to make cakes for gay marriages. Sounds a lot like freedom for me but not for thee kind of mentality going on here. Republican Gmail users are free to move to another email platform, the market is free to create a competing email platform that does not mark GOP emails as spam. I really dont understand why they so upset.
