This administration's bungling does point to a security flaw in the government using any commercial chat app in that anyone with the app can be accidentally invited which allows a rout into our government's secure communications by both reporters and adversarial governments though. The greater New York city area actually has a pretty decent rail system for getting between the city and the burbs and even before surge pricing taking the train was almost always cheaper than driving in and paying for parking. This means poor people won't be meaningfully effected by the adoption of surge pricing, they were already taking the train.

If they can afford NYC parking costs on any kind of regular basis they aren't poor.

With global emissions still growing, not decreasing, clearly renewables arent growing anywhere near fast enough and that's only dealing with electrical generation. To reach net zero we'll need to solve emissions related problems with many other things like like air travel and concrete production. I would love to be wrong but given all this I don't see how we'll reach net zero before we dont have serious problems that we need to mitigate. Net zero strikes me as a really hard place for us to get to.

Globally speaking warming emissions are still increasing so how does anyone think we're getting to net zero any time soon? Even after we halt the rate of emission increase we still have a truly massive task in front of us to reach net zero and even then we'll still need to wait for the environment to stabilize as even at net zero we'll still have the problem of all the extra CO2 that we put into the environment up until we hit net zero. There's just no way we're going to accomplish all this before major quality of life regression begins.

To maintain any decent quality of life we're going to need geoengineering to mitigate the temperature rise until we get our shit together. It's just the practical reality of where we're at.

Questioning the actions of a nation state is not in itself racist, equating questioning Israeli government actions with anti-Semitism is just a right wing tactic to silence debate on Israeli land grabbing and war crimes.
