  • True, that was a quick delete. No one could possibly reach down to their ankles. He claims to be a student at SFState. I never asked him what he was studying.
  • I thought it was a gag from the description, but no, it was an attempt to pull a scam...

    What's really funny is that there are ways to pull this off undetectably, but these people were too stupid to realize how. (Or maybe they were smart enough once, but the drugs they were trying to keep hidden impaired their judgement.) I guess they got what they deserved!

    • I don't know much about employer drug testing, to be honest, I've never been through one.

      If you smoke a joint once a month, does that show up? I seem to remember some kind of olympic snowboarder scandal where the guy claimed he was just in the room with pot-smokers. Is employee drug testing as stringent as olympic drug testing?

      • I've done tests for jobs (idiotic stuff, IMHO, but it's that or no paycheck) but I have no idea how long it takes for these things to go away (some outfits test HAIR, can you believe it?).

        I'm so squeaky-clean, someone says "Hi" to me and I usually say "No I'm not." ;-)

        • Well things have improved lately -- but there was a time when the air around the campfire at the cabin was, um, full of interesting substances. I've always wondered whether those trace amounts would be enough to get me in trouble.

          Things have calmed down considerably out there. The 30-somethings and 40-somethings are the tame ones -- it's the teenagers and the 50-somethings that raise the roof!
