Journal silent_rock's Journal: em love 2

i'm falling behind on a lot of my correspondences. when will i catch up?

i feel better than generally crappy now. actually not bad. i'm afraid to admit that.

mac and cheese, croissant dough, spam, and hershey's chocolate bar. (what the guy behind me was buying at safeway) i went grocery shopping because as i was scrambling to find lunch to bring on the field trip, i found only one granola bar and a bottle of gatorade. instant diet.

on saturday, we were standing in a rocky channel with a 0.1 square mile drainage area at 5:20p as darkness quickly enveloped us.

bro asked me what i wanted for b-day and i said, i dunno, something to help me learn chinese. he said that he'd send me all of his duplicate hong kong DVDs. YAYUH! hahaha. he knows quite a bit of cantonese just from watching all of those DVDs, he must have several hundred by now. but i asked him to subsidize my purchase of new hiking boots, mine are 6 years old and i don't like wearing them, so yesterday i had to scramble through the thorny muddy steep banks instead of just walking through the creek and advisor said "MAYBE YOU SHOULD INVEST IN A PAIR OF HIKING BOOTS."

i'm changing K2 to 273K. 273K gave me music from the following: The Keanes, Blur, Death Cab for Cutie, Jimmy Eat World, and Maroon 5. I like the Keanes but it makes me sleepy, Maroon 5 is better for avoiding sleep. I let him "borrow" my "back-up" copy of Encore. I did buy the collector's ed. and all.

Just for the record, my fave Em and D-12 songs (I consider these to be works of genius):

From The Slim Shady LP:
Brain Damage
If I Had
'97 Bonnie & Clyde
Role Model
My Fault
Cum On Everybody
Rock Bottom
Just Don't Give a Fuck
Bad Meets Evil
Still Don't Give a Fuck

From The Marshall Mathers LP:
Kill You
Drug Ballad
Criminal

From The Eminem Show:
Business
Say Goodbye Hollywood

From Encore: (I haven't had time to do a full evaluation yet.)
Mockingbird
Crazy in Love
Love You More

From D-12 World:
Get My Gun

Notice that I am a BIG FAN of the Slim Shady LP. We listened to it at the field station on Friday (only a 2-data point-day) and Joel got a kick out of My Fault. Converting it to a clean version was a work of genius, GENIUS.

i don't know why i wrote so much. i apologize.

Some people claim that the UNIX learning curve is steep, but at least you only have to climb it once.
