Journal silent_rock's Journal: involuntary barfing 2

Why is it "a" cold but "the" flu? I think I got the flu, having diagnosed myself with such handy websites such as this - http://www.igotflu.com/symptoms.html . I barfed (during the 6th inning last night) and got chills and aches and complained a lot. The weird thing about vomiting is that it is so involuntary. You have no control over it. Why can't we just decide when we want to throw up, then throw up? Instead of feeling bad for awhile and then it's all gagging and coming up without your consent?

I got scared today because I tried to remember the floorplan of my high school but I couldn't. I was there for four years, how could I forget where the restrooms were? I have no idea how I got started thinking about that.

I like to give athletes the benefit of the doubt - I like to think there are some really intelligent 300 lb. football players out there. But there were 3 on the shuttle today, being generally obnoxious. Maybe not obnoxious, but they laugh a lot, about stupid things. Are football players just generally happy people? Then one of them said, "I put this corndog in my pocket. Then I got home and I was like, What the hell? Then I put it in the microwave and ate it." Of course, I have bad hearing, and I was wearing headphones, so I could have misinterpreted that.

I bought Gatorade, Vitamin C (2 bottles) and Halls Defense Multi-Blend Vitamin C, Echinacea, Zinc supplement drops.

My laptop isn't recognizing my external hard drive today.

I hope everyone I know votes next week.

I just wrote this for the sake of writing something and it is very uninspired.
