Greetings from EST -3. I'm not acclimated so this still feels a bit late for this boy (2:46?). This is coming from the cash in hand, out the door in 15 minutes Powerbook I got today (cancelling the other Powerbook which still sits in Shanghai).

Nice 68F weather, clear. Flight was fine. Now I just need to figure out why Mail isn't pulling down my Gmail account. Fucking pain in the ass...

But the boy is now connected and alive once more.

Update Ahh, Gmail settings. You need to have "Download all messages (even those downloaded before" set, not the "All Future Messages" one. Now I get them.

    • North of Balboa Park, in Mission Valley. I'll try to get some listens in on your shizzy. Gotta wait to buy CDs until Tuesday (new COC, Adult.). Did some sites and In and Out today. But plan on hitting Sin City tonight. The playlist on the station looks good.

        • I broke my In and Out cherry. Got a Double-Double. It was good, fresh, well made. Same with the Fries. Classic and straight up. I still think the best burger joint I know is Swenson's [swensonsdriveins.com] in NE OH. Nothing really compares to a Galley Boy. It isn't as thick as a Double Double, but it makes up for it in style. It comes with an olive on a stick, and special sauce. If Soul Asylum is the compromised version of the Replacements, then the Big Mack is the compromise of the Galley Boy. It is that fine line of

I guess I shouldn't shit on Soul Asylum since... *looks around at what is considered popular music now* But let's list off what SA did different than be a Replacements coverband: lead singer had white-boy dreads, he slept with Wionna Ryder, and they had that video done for Clerks with the original cast. Those first two are just pretentious. If there was anything wrong with the early 90's it was that everybody had to look like they were standing for something.

        • What is the opposite of Command-M? I like to minimize stuff (instead of keeping clutter and Expose-ing things). But there isn't a directly intuitive way of Maximizing them from the Finder (I hoped Command-` would've done it but no).

          Any ideas?
