Hardly anybody would ever use the 'giving' phrase, but it does poke fun at Cobol, which it OK in my book.

I did it for 28 years, supported a family, got a retirement. IMO, COBOL is great. Maybe not the best language but I was always happy with it. Too verbose but then so is my wife.

Perfect for when you're sitting on one of those $900 toilet seats.

I will do it for $20, when do ? Actually, a lot would do it for $10, but I'm retired an have a good pension as does my wife. And she has a job teaching at the local community college.

NHTSA said back in the eighties* that smaller cars are safer b/c they are less likely to hit something or be hit b/c of their size. It makes sense that when you are hit, it's a greater catastrophe but you'd be hit less often.
