Exactly, in all probability the automation revolution when it arrives in full force will completely upend the basic structure of our society. If not in 10 years then in 20 years or 100 years, makes no difference in the end. No one has any idea what this will ultimately mean or how to deal with it beyond vague guesses. Brings up fundamental questions about [deep stuff] that have never even made sense to ask before.

That or climate change/endless human stupidity stops progress before we get there and bring us back to stone age. Or possibly the great spiritual awakening occurs and we all learn to live in peace and harmony with nature. :D

Basically, we all went from "desktop that I'm perfectly happy with and works how I want" to "here try this paradigm shift" and it sucked until Cinnamon/MATE came along.

Gnome 3 changes may have been out of their control but didnt fix that fact that our shit was broken.

he's more or less divested now right? still i can't see how this crap will add enough to the bottom line to compensate for the negative goodwill, all that 'new microsoft' crap out the window. is spying and nagging users really that lucrative to send everyone that has a choice running for the hills? be slightly less of an asshole and they'd have a great product, and i'd be the first one telling everbody to use it. oh well.

no im not going to develop for any microsoft platform, host on azure, or bother testing my sites in edge unless specifically asked.
