I'll bet -- and hey, this is a guess -- they have more than one server.
They might even have ( gasp ) a generator!
And wow...wouldn't it be cool if they had some of them there newfangled SAN-thingies?
God and wouldn't it just be the coolest thing ever if they had more than one connection to the `Net?
Damn...they might even have more bandwidth than your parents' basement!

You going to set all that up for me in less time than it takes me to whip out my credit card, LAMP-boy?

Nanoknives To Be Used to Cut Cells 78

Roland Piquepaille writes "American researchers have built a carbon nanotube knife. According to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), this nanoknife will be used to cut and study cells. With this new tool, scientists and biologists will be able to make 3D images of cells and tissues for electron tomography, which requires samples less than 300 nanometers thick. And as cells are usually stored in wax for dissection, the researchers plan to test their nanoknives on a block of wax later this year. But read more for additional references and a picture of this nanoknife."

Which sony stuff would that be? Ummm...Everquest, Everquest2, Star Wars Galaxies, etc..etc.. You are right they have no user base. None of those users have group speak or talk to each other, and well they can't figure out how to keep a guild together without a built in list.

ahh...whatever. Sony will catch up, with a vengence. I am still waiting for a World of Warcraft/Everquest/Ultima Online on Xbox or PS3. When they pull that off they will have really hooked the adictable.

Journal Journal: FatFive!

Ok in know the real name of the "other plug" that you have for a keyboard. AT plug right? Well sence I was just a gimply little snot nosed floppy trader I have called the the AT/DIN keyboard "FatFive" sence the first day I saw it. I think the exact sentence was "Hand me that keyboard with the FatFive plug on the end of it!". Given the name for the clear reason that the plug was Fat and it had Five pins.

Journal Journal: Beef Jerky time!

Is it just a southern thing? I love this stuff, it is like a gift from the gods. Beer, Jerky, and StarWars...perfect. Throw in a couple of passes behind the wakeboard boat, some head high glassy surf, and a pizza we are in heaven.

Journal Journal: Developer Admin relations.

Can someone tell me why on earth the Developers and the Admin staff of a programing company are always about to kill each other.

I know my reasons, being on both sides of this fence but I would be interested in what others have to say. Is it the finger pointing when the server goes down. Lack of support? Lack of tested code?
