"When he protested and said somebody made an error, he said one of the investigators asked him if the case did go to trial, who would the jury believe -- a bank security expert or him" When called into Jury duty, I side with the defendant until the "Expert" can prove he/she is worthy. It is astonishing what a lawyer will present as an expert these days. I have witnessed a person as an expert who was just an employee with 2 years of networking experience and no college degree . On the other hand have had "pedi"greed degrees show ignorance as well when asked about simple facts like time stamps. "Of course they are synced", in the next exhibit, was shown as grossly unmatched. Titles mean nothing, prove your worth.

Comment quicker to use up your allowed unlimited data (Score 0) 43

Unless something changes, the unlimited plans will only get used up quicker. I live in a Hole where wireless technology is the only option I have unless you say dial up is an option. We use Verizon for our streaming purposes and with 4G we eat up data fairly quickly which hits the data cap and then we are at the algorithms mercy for the rest of the month. Sometimes we can stream, other times we surfing is a challenge. So 5G may allow the plans to increase the data limit, but you will still get there quicker, so how does that help me. I know the universe revolves around me, I have known that for some time.

I have read "put your phone down, I cannot see" and "It is distracting" Seriously if you cannot see past a 3" wide obstruction you have issues, whine whine whine. At the last concert I attended, it was sold out, Loud music, loud Crowd, no phone noise I could discern, even the fellow next to me talking on his. The singer stated "Stand up, sit down, whatever you want, you paid for the ticket, feel free to use your phones and record or stand the whole time, enjoy the show" The whole time the crowd stood, from my standpoint it was a pain since the fellow in front was a bit taller but I didn't care, I was enjoying the music. Phones, people and even crying kids did not distract, I was there to have a good time and did. Every ticket has an admission price, if you want to have a better view, pay for a better ticket. As reference the concert was Garth Brooks. Similar story with a Monster Jam event with my kids. Phones are not the issue, people are.

I will not pay to watch this, it is one thing to purchase the Box Set of TNG and keep it but to pay for streaming, meh. I also do not have unlimited data as I live in a hole so to speak, one mile from broadband and the provider will not bring it to me without having 15 people sign up for it at 7K a piece.. To get my dose of Star Trek likeness I have been watching the Orville. Seth has done a nice job and it has some comedy to boot.

I am only able to use wireless services such as Verizon or AT&T with reliability since the tower is about a mile away. We currently have Verizon MIFi with a 18GB plan for 120.00 a month. The speeds are not bad for wireless ~8Mb but we often run up against the data cap with updates, Facebook, email, and applications on our ipads. We cannot stream movies/music without fear of running over. We spoke with the local cable provider to see what it would take to get it in our subdivision (roughly 20 customers) Each would have to foot a bill of roughly 7000.00, I am for it but not all can afford it and they would not run without a full signup. Satellite is out of the question given the pricing for what you get.

We have a wireless service in the area that offer unlimited but since the subdivision is in a valley signal is weak and a tower would need to be put in to boost signal. Each year our banks, government and other services want to go paperless, essentially we cannot without running over data.

Would love to be able to update my xbox, play online games, stream netflix etc without penalty. Houses a mile away have cable with unlimited caps. Any one else run up against this?
