Software architect by profession, over 22 years professional experience, competent in C/C++, Java/J2EE/JSP, PHP, perl, etc. Previously ran an ISP (herald.net), was doing Enterprise software design (a bizarre combination of low-level middleware/architecture and high-level user-interface design) and development for a leading Supply Chain Planning company. Founded a couple of successful technology companies including Kimbia at which I served as CTO, now providing consulting with focus on startup projects, public API design, and financial processing services.

The primary function of the design engineer is to make things difficult for the fabricator and impossible for the serviceman.
