Even that hypothetical experiment may be insufficient, as many such as Kurt Gödel have observed.

Simply making the same exact choice every time, does not mean that it isn't a choice. Perfectly predictable behavior does not contradict free will, just as random or chaotic behavior does not indicate free will.

Sure. If you completely ignore the context that it is only intended for automated crawlers and misread it as referring to everyone then, yes, I agree that would be ridiculous...

(It's also kind of ridiculous in these days to have an essentially-voluntary anti-bot system and expect it to do anything, but that's another topic.)

For one, the clip-ons would have to have all the compute and battery sitting on the front of your face, which would be uncomfortable. You need the arms to hold some of the magic sand.

I guess you could make a weird clip-on with ballast in the back, but I can easily see why they wouldn't. It's also another thing that can go wrong (alignment with existing lenses).
