Journal queenofthe1ring's Journal: car update 7

Ok, car problem is very nearly solved at this point. And thank God it's working out in my favor now.

About a half an hour ago, as I am starting to write this anyways, husband called me. Apparently the officer on the case had called him to let him know he had talked to the owner of the truck we suspected, and they admitted it was them.

Well, actually he said the two occupants were blaming each other, but that they both admitted it was that truck. And it is insured.

So on Friday we can go down to the police station and get a copy of the report so I can give it to the insurance, and hopefully get everything finalized.

This news came at a good time, because I had talked to my mom earlier today who had talked to her agent (I could not get ahold of mine. I guess she does not work Wednesdays) who said that if no one could be found, this incident would count as an accident for me, and my rates would go up and I would lose my accident free discount.

So I'm very glad that this is working out, and I feel so happy and relieved they admitted to it. That's one thing I can stop worrying about now.

Ps: new apartment is ready, just have to sign the paperwork and we can start moving. Praying that it will work out better.

  • I hope things do get better. Though I still think a more radical change in environment would be the best thing for you...
    • Thanks for the concern and comment.

I had kind of been hoping that husband would have applied to that job he wanted in CA, but I don't think he did on account of getting the current job offer so quickly.

I don't think there's really a way to move now, as he has a good job, and likes this area. I have no particular attachments on account of being a useless housewife.

Although I don't think you mean just a different location?

Well, while it doesn't necessarily entail moving to an entirely different location, it's usually the best way to get the radical change I think you need. Your current place seems to be dragging you down. You need a place that gives positive stimulation, and you don't seem to be getting that at all...
  • That they found out who did it and they are (in their own bizarre way) admitting fault. Moving is also good.
    • I am still quite glad that they did admit to it. But unfortunately their insurance information was incorrect, so my insurance agent is having to sort through all this muck. The claims office already issued me a check, but that is from before the other people admitted fault, so if I use it without having the information updated, my rates will go up. So my agent keeps telling me every time I talk to her that she's still working on it, and not to do anything yet, because she doesn't want me to have to take
