Journal pudge's Journal: Snow 8

So, I saw something I don't recall seeing before: the Mariners/Indians game was snowed out today. In Cleveland.

Here in the Seattle area (up north a bit), we had snow on Monday. In the morning, everything at my house was completely blanketed in snow. Big flakes, snowing hard. It was probably less than an inch of accumulation over an hour, then it melted entirely by afternoon.

Just a few days later, Friday, it was well over 80 degrees.

April was always weird in Massachusetts, too.

  • I remember when we first moved to Enumclaw when I was little. It snowed on the fourth of July. That was really weird.

    • Here in Cbus Ohio, the news people are idiots (not that this should be surprising). Last night it was a "bone chilling 30 degrees." Er, bone chilling? When we always have a few weeks of sub-10-degree weather each year?

Later on they had a five minute story on a woman trying to save her flowers from the chill. Must have been a slow news night. But they ended with "tune in to our sister station at 11 for tips on how to save YOUR flowers." Uh, who's going to go and save their flowers AFTER your story a

It was beginning to snow last night around 0200 and it is snowing again now. Last night's snow was not much and was mostly melted before this little flurry came by.

Was supposed to go to the National's game tonight, but have a cold. Not a good idea.
  • No accumulation, but it was the big, wet flakes falling at a good clip for a good 20-30 minutes there. I was driving in it :O
  • Lousy Smarch weather.
  • My cousin came into Cleveland from Wisconsin for that game. Boy was he peeved. I guess the grounds crew built snow men and stuff behind second base. But his annual trip back home to catch the opener was ruined by mother nature.
