My suspicion is that he has a decent laptop, but doesn't really know how to use it. His secretary has the old, hand-me-down laptop because that's how lawyers think about their secretaries. He didn't know how to set things up on his laptop, so he had his secretary do it. She set everything up, but had never used the webcam before. Hilarity ensued.

Some of the pro-gamestop arguments I've seen:
1. new consoles came out, which should be good for them
2. they got rid of underperforming stores
3. new leadership with loads of e-commerce experience

I have bought zero shares of GME; I don't care what it is worth. I don't know a lot about stocks, so I choose not to gamble.

Yeah, there are loads of memes and groupthink, but there are some interesting insights and research if you dig through. I think it is wrong to be knee-jerk dismissive of the entire thing.

The fascinating thing about this for me is how keen WSB is on "don't listen to the media, they are trying to manipulate you" and "do your own research". I then read this Guardian article on the "struggling" Gamestop, "amateur" investors, and so forth and compare it to DFV's video from July (https://ancillary-proxy.atarimworker.io?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DGZTr1-Gp74U) where he lays out his research, explains his thesis, and invites challenges. It really seems like the media is wrong and there are more smarts in the WSB crowd than they'll acknowledge.

Trump has certainly started a lot of trade wars. He also took us to the brink with Iran. He has alienated our traditional allies. He has emboldened dictators. His foreign policies are a mess. I don't see how we can forgive anything.

The thing is, I don't use Facebook. I deleted my account a few years ago. However, I know that they still have a shadow account for me. They still try to track me around the internet. They still track my relationships with family who are on Facebook. They still know when I'm in pictures that are posted to Facebook. They've purchased data from other sources and matched it up to my shadow account. You can be the "product" without consent and any benefit.

I have kids.

When I post code on Stack Overflow, I intend for other people to use it. I couldn't care less if I have attribution, I'm just trying to be helpful. I suspect that this is intended to get more traffic to Stack Overflow.

I build a time machine and go into the future. While there I observe you eating a bagel. I then return to the present. You're saying that when you eat that bagel my actions forced you to?
