And you you think this is going to 'make it better' you're really dense.
Anyone doing ram swaps will just flash the old firmware and ship it - it'll boot fine until the purchaser upgrades it to new firmware - and suddenly the firmware update broke it, and who was responsible for that update
The excuse that this is going to solve problems is either outrageously ignorant and short sighted - or complete bullshit
I suspect RPF will find themselves on the end of lawsuits regarding bricking devices. Doesn't matter if the devices were fakes or not - accidently breaking a device because its fake and you didn't know better is one thing. Actively detecting and breaking things on purpose is entirely different. Intent matters.
Either way - RPF will be less appealing to even more people who will now just start with an alternative and avoid RPF all together, which is good cause anything that screws Broadcom is good for humanity
The irony of you confusing 'cuck' with MAGA when it was in fact invented by the opposite group
Raspberry Pi has literally NEVER been about the tinkerer. You like many are confused by the BS they spew about their goals but they have always been about making money. Any thing indicating they were for 'tinkering' was a side effect they hand't figured out how to squelch yet. These guys are not altruistic in any form.
It didnt' affect 'the channels' - it affected cheap knock off sites in the exact same way that literally every product on the planet is affected. There is nothing at all unique to the RaspPi channel other than the raspberry pi, which as the knock off show, isn't unique.
As for your last line - not sure thats worth a response - you get offended at the word cuck - then demonstrate being a cuck for the raspberry pi guys
All of this is fine and your choice of course, but the high horse you think you're on is pretty sad looking. The instant you have to lead your comments with a political insult - that you don't even understand the etymology of, you demonstrate you don't have an argument in the first place.
Its mind numbing that you're proud of this and tell us about it, 'look at me, I'm being taken advantage of and used AND I LIKE IT' - talk about a cuck
Where I live. (North Carolina), any one involved in a conversation is allowed to record the conversation from the moment they entered it until it ends, without any consent required. This is not uncommon as it allows people to protect themselves from others scams/threats/ect.
Anyone who think their conversation is secure and private is sadly mistaken. Its only private as long as all other parties respect you.
Get over this silly notion that you can say things to someone and it leave no evidence beyond a man's word. The time for low grade liars has passed.
Theyâ(TM)re literally breaking their product and then ransoming it back to you for a monthly protection fee.
Enshitification is too kind of a word
'caught off guard'
When? a few years ago?
The usefulness of Apple Unified memory for LLMs is a selling point they've been using for at least a year, if not 2.
It was a marketing strategy, not sure how it 'caught them off guard' when it was part of the plan.
This story keeps popping up around the last week or so and its as if you don't remember that the m3 was is great at it, and marketed for LLMs because of unified memory - and the M4 was more aggressively marketed for AI - in late 2024.
So again, WHEN were they caught of guard? in 2020? And yet dumbass 'journalists' keep reposting the same shit.
What year is this? Itâ(TM)s so wild that SCO is still doing this same bullshit after 30 fucking years!!!!
Jesus! I know that donâ(TM)t have anything else to do, but itâ(TM)s hard to believe that thereâ(TM)s anyone at SCO that would be willing to dust off their parentsâ(TM) failed lawsuits, but apparently there is.
The only people still using it are the ones that will complain about anything they can, and will never be satisfied cause they need this one special tweak that everyone else KNOWS is stupid, but fuck it, we put a VPN in there, why not support the dumbest shit for one dude on his high rocking horse. Who immediately complains about some other stupid idea. So will give him a prompt first use
99% of users want things to work without having to answer a bunch of stupid questions based on some developers shit head politics and need to impress his childish view points on users.
And this is why Foxbat will always be nothing better that the replacement for IE6, it will continue to be an example of why developers and their personal politics shouldn't be allowed in the git commit history.
Add another option is usually the result of not beimg able to figure out a better starting point. Its rarely solving problems, usually adding bugs, problems and complexity.
I need a browser that isnt an irrelevant PoS that has spent its entire life with "trying to be a browser" as the last thing on its list of development priorities.
XUL, email, rrs, web page editor, VPN, all sorts of political shit, literally so many options it cant help to be a slow bloated buggy pile if donkey dung.
You live in a fantasy if you think hipaa protects you from data sharing.
When you agreed to medical service and signed the hipaa notice, that you didnt read, it was you agreeing to allow them to share it for business purposes, you are not allowed to opt out and get service
You have this false fantasy that anyone cares about hipaa beyond getting you to sign the contract.
The town can simply ban that sort of surveillance. Contract can go fuck itself if the law supersedes it, yes retroactively.
This retarded idea that a company can do whatever it wants because of a weasely contract is false.
The residents control the town, not some secretly foreign run mass surveillance company these idiots keep getting bribed by.
Thats cute. Now put it in front of the public without the person on the other end following your demo script...
All of the sudden its shit.
My company has done this as well, and it works great for the guy who made it, who talks to it with knowledge of its capabilities and nuances... but then as soon as anyone with a slightly different choice of words comes along
Linux is already a success.
Rust is not fun. I tried it, and I hated it. Maybe you like it if you like abuse, but man. I hated it. It was the least fun I had programming in anything since OCaml.
>One could infer that the State of California thinks its citizens are dumber than the average American, and thus can't be allowed to see triangular arrows lest they draw the wrong conclusion
Or the plastics recycling was always an industry greenwashing campaign, and the vast majority of people actually do believe that sorting their plastics into a recycling bin leads to less plastic being manufactured, and this is just a move to educate the people that plastic recycling is actually a sham.
Though, to be fair - this really isn't an important announcement - its just an improvement developers will appreciate - and a few guys that truly understand hypervisors. The rest of us, at best will say
