Big energy companies don't want cheap energy sources controlled by their customers: they mess up their transports and they lower the cost of electricity and hence their profits. So they should be nationalized and treated as non-profit, with the aim of the cheapest energy possible, not the highest profit.

I tried to look at how to program quantum computers, and there are now toolsets for that although you can only run them on simulations, but it's so complex and unintuitive (that's quantum mechanics for you, ha!) that it's just impossible to grok what you have to do in order to do even the most simple tasks.
