I remember when cars were made from STEEL, had STEEL chrome bumpers. If you bumped into someone, you might scratch the chrome. Now, bump into someone and it is a multi-thousand dollar repair! Plus, with all the electronic sensors and what not, makes it even more expensive. They increased the MPG by removing most of the steel in the vehicles, replaced it with plastic. At least the steel can be recycled.

Gee thanks CAPTAIN OBVIOUS! At least in the states, kids under 16 shouldn't be allowed to have anything but a dumb phone that can only call say 911 and, their parents. We see it all the time, young teenagers all sitting around NOT talking to each other but with their heads down in their phones.

Why? SIMPLE. USA is SPREAD OUT! Japan is smaller than California in land area. That is just ONE state, not to mention the other 47 in the continental USA. You can travel from France to Germany by car in a day, but to travel from El Paso to Texarkana takes a couple days by car. Unless you develop "warp drive" for trains, it just won't work in the USA.

It will bankrupt you to have it prescribed though.

And just this week, scientist showed from an ice core the Earth was WARMER six million years ago. Our planet has been getting warmer, since the last ice age!

"Commuter" cars are about the only thing EV's are good for. But a full size pickup truck? Pretty much anyone that wanted an EV has one. There are countless used EV's on the market because people didn't like the lack of range, the lack of battery power on cold/hot weather, the time it takes to recharge etc.

When you have to have "government" tax credits to get people to buy something, then that something isn't worth it. There are TONS of used EV's on the market now because people have gotten rid of them. Oh, they might have been "stylish" to have, but not any more. Range problems, battery life in hot/cold environments, having to wait 10-30 minutes or more to charge them and on and on. For short commutes, not to much of a problem, but if you live in a rural place and do a lot of driving they are not worth it. Pretty much anyone that wanted one, has one.

When Android came along, I thought good! I can set up my smartphone how I WANT, not how "Apple" wants. I can add, remove apps, set up things how I WANT. If I want to side load an app, that's on me, not Google. An option they should do, is ALLOW side loading, only by unlocking a feature in developer mode as most users don't use and don't even know how to get to developer mode options. Yeah, they "say" you will still be able to side load using ADB, but that requires connecting the phone to your computer. Google use to be "ASOP" but it seems like they are taking more and more steps to create a walled garden like Apple!

Do like the old tv hustler Ron Popeil...SET IT AND FORGET IT! Put the clocks back to "regular time" and leave it the h*ll alone! Old Indian chief once said "Only the Government would believe that you could cut a foot off the top of a blanket, sew it to the bottom of the blanket, and have a longer blanket."

McDonalds, Cracker Barrel, etc...eat at a non "family" restaurant and it won't be full of kids.
