It's been quite some time since I've done any sort of overclocking, but the last time I did (around the time of the
Celeron 300A (woohoo! 150% overclocking FTW!), if I recall correctly) I remember having to use
DIP switches and
jumpers to set it up. I seem to recall having dabbled a bit later on down the line with some BIOS-based overclocking, which was ridiculously easier than fiddling with the switches and all, but I just wanted to point out that overclocking isn't necessarily ALWAYS done through software.
