Recall is there to vacuum up all the sensitive data "on" the computer and make it available to Microsoft and their partners for their use. TBH, I don't see how the Federal Government can use a Microsoft product and meet their government required security rules. CJIS for example and the handling of CHRI(Federal Criminal Records History Information) scanning and recording every background check that was opened and sending/saving/transmitting the info(somewhere Microsoft wants it?) seems like a huge no-no. Is Recall On/Off and it is managed by who?
Yes! Advanced automation works great! The problem with "all" the AI companies today, is with their CEO's and Sales and Marketing departments! They took the easy route of the grift. Instead of the honest route "Advanced Automation! The path to an AGI future!" but that ship has sailed in the minds of the users now.
"Still Tracking Users After Opt-Out" The only deluded individuals here are the ones thinking they were not ignoring this? But never mind, it is just monopolies being monopolies!
"I don't need a camera hanging from my face 24/7" True, you don't! The camera and everything being sent back to data warehouse central is not to benefit you!
"The AI features themselves aren't going away," they are just hiding things until the ruckus calms down. Then Microsoft will force things to meet their goals when no one is expecting it.
"Right now, that means Bluesky, Mastodon, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube" Social Media is like a second job with no pay for most users. The ROI on being their sock puppet is pretty low.
