We buy 50 lb bags of organic thick cold-rolled oats from the local health food store. During covid the price basically doubled from $65 to $110, but it's still very cheap per day. That was also around the time that oat milk became a thing. Supply and demand.
Use your head and think about how long 3,000 militia types would last against an essentially unlimited number of Army troops with all the shit they can bring to a fight (attack helicopters, heavy machine guns, mortars, etc, etc, etc.). And it will be free-fire, not a standoff. When nuclear weapons are involved, special rules apply.
True.
Pantex is similar to Rocky Flats where they made triggers for nukes back in the day. There were frequent protests, blocking the train tracks, etc. I worked with a fellow who was a captain in the Army who brought his troops up from Fort Carson as needed for security. He said anyone who came over the wire would be shot first and questioned later, if they survived.
Once a couple of friends and I were going to Arvada from Boulder to pick up some car parts and we took a wrong turn and ended up at the guard shack at the entrance to RF. The guard told us we needed to back up, turn around and then take the next turnoff back on the highway. We asked if we could pull forward and U-turn around the shack. He said, "No, if you do that I'll have to shoot you. Back up". I related this story to my ex-Army colleague and he said, "Oh yeah, they would have shot you immediately".
The Monster cables are no doubt connected to Dominator MX speakers...(as seen in in Ruthless People)

If there's an end of support date after which there will be no more updates, it should be required by law to brick itself on that date.

"As with other independent agencies, the President cannot remove a Commissioner without cause and the agency does not report or answer to the White House or any part of the administration".
It is a falacy that BluRay has anything at all whatsoever to do with video quality. You need all that space to fit a proper audio track.
I, too, believed this fallacy until I got Fury Road on BluRay which also included the DVD version and I was surprised how much sharper the BluRay version is
We had the same thing happen, but T-Mobile Home Internet was available. When I called Spectrum to disconnect, they offered me the $49.95 teaser rate for another year.
... but I had to share it with other people.
First computer I owned personally was a Zenith Z-100 which was an IBM PC "work-alike". Not a clone as it had its own version of MS-DOS.
Upgrades included bumping the RAM from 256Kb to 1Mb ($1,000) and adding a 10Mb hard drive ($1,000).

I traded in my '07 Prius with 314,000 miles on it because the ICE motor was starting to make scary sounds. The battery was fine. The dealer said something like, "We should take the battery out and put it on display... No, wait, there are taxis in Seattle with 6 or 700,000 miles on them". The 2014 Prius I have now is closing on 300k and is doing fine.
In other words, the reporter knew how to:
1) right-click
2) read
Yes! We have a Ryobi battery-powered mower that works great. No way we'll buy another gas mower. When you're pushing it, it's as loud as a gas mower a couple of blocks away. You can mow early in the morning or late in the evening without disturbing neighbors.
And pushing it is ridiculous, it feels like a Fisher-Price toy mower for a 3-year old and it's easy to pick up.
No gas, oil or spark plug. No air cleaner to clean.
Fold up the handle and store it on vertically against the wall (no oil or gas to leak)
Seems about right to me.
Actually got a scam call while typing this...
IIRC, both Buffett and David Gardner (Motley Fool) have said they would have better overall returns if they never sold anything they bought. Sure, some went to zero, but they were made up for by ones that came back.
