From the perspective of the investor - will there be demand (both initially and over the life of the depreciation) and will the (Fed/State) Gov't fund subsidize it with either direct funding or special tax incentives

With the next election coming up, I think there is considerable uncertainty.

I'm just another old guy too and feel the same way.

However, I'm a little biased because I'm within a year of retirement and have made it clear to my employer that I am not interested in any management or supervisory roles. We're both happy at present. In a way, it's a relief to only be chasing the approval of being a smart guy.

In another way, it's selfish of me. Part of my value should be sharing my experience and knowledge with less experienced, younger people. Casual, face to face interactions are the reason why informal networks develop and work and they are no less important in the future than they were in the past. I learned a lot from others when I was younger.

he's correct that a reason for the delay involves some element of pigs jostling for position at the trough. I would guess that there are NGOs and Non-Profits that depend on political linkages trying to get in on the action. This also explains why the IRS is staffing up - there are financial reporting and tax implications to be managed.

If a protester refuses to move and is bumped with a speed at impact lower than the FMVSS, then the federal gov't must assume responsibility for injury or death.

it will modify behaviors on both sides of the steering wheel - hopefully in ways that promote more mutual respect and self-responsibility.

Yes, you can build a lumped parameter model with some small number of coupled lumps and use an energy balance to forecast responses.

What you can't do with those simple models is determine who wins and who pays.

So, we obviously need much more complicated models with hundreds of confounding variables.

btw, I do lumped models for heat transfer systems analysis professionally.
