That notion so obviously fails if what is going on is some form of: "I'll subscribe and let you use my account for X, where X is $3/mo or let me use your Disney account, or "you cook me dinner once a week", etc...

As I understand these new "sharing" rules, I can't even "share" with myself... For example, I cannot watch Netflix on my home TV and later on my office TV (or my vacation home TV)...

The rules are oriented towards "locations", "homes" -- whereas I'm just one guy that may have a few TV's in different locations... I can't even use MY account in a few locations. If I can't, I will cancel...

Older coots like myself didn't talk about KB of memory in those days. Bytes were not really a thing so much back then, not that bytes didn't exist, but they didn't have a fixed size and were mostly about characters. Everything instead was phrased in terms of words. First computer I ever touched had 8K core... that would be 8k of 16-bit words. A Data General Nova that I messed with had 4KW core -- the machine that lost out to the PDP-11 internally within DEC. That's the machine that really got people talking about bytes a lot....

Comment Amazon Netflix (Score 1) 170

1) I totally agree with these observations: I've become quite disinterested in investing in the time to watch Netflix shows since it is highly likely they will get canceled too soon/before they mature.

2) In the past few years, I have come to realize that I like Amazon's shows much better on average than Netflix shows. Currently, The Boys, but also Homecoming, Jack Ryan, Hanna, Hunters, Goliath, Good Omen, Tales from the Loop, etc... not all excellent, but in general more watchable than Netflix shows (with a few exceptions, but those, again, often canceled...)

"You should be keeping radon out of the house by sealing the floor, and sufficiently ventilating any basement or sub-floor space."

In many houses this is not possible or financially feasible. Plenty of houses have "finished basements". Reasonable ventilation of those areas is not sufficient to clear out radon, particularly in the winter months. The point is, there has been a drive in the '80's and '90's to make houses more heat efficient by sealing them off, replacing windows, etc. A largely unforeseen consequence has been elevated radon levels.

At this point, Trump has nothing to lose. He will continue to do outrageous things to pander to his base. I remember Notepad from Windows 2.11, that was 1989, over 30 years ago. It was essentially the same simplistic little program -- hardly any change at all. It probably was even in Windows 1.0. Its hilarious that over the past 30+ years they deign to make these tiny micro "improvements" to Notepad.
