No one expects LLMs to be all knowing, but the problem is that they have absolutely no self reflection on their knowledge.
A human will tell you they are not sure, when they are not knowledgable about a certain subject, but they will also insist and try to correct you if they feel confident about what they know and you voice a different view. An LLM will confidently bullshit you with until you tell it it's wrong, then it will contradict everything it just said and tell you that you are right, regardless of what is true, or even logical.

I've found some obscure titles over the years that are only available on VHS. Many I can't even find a pirated version for. So I keep a VCR and a cheap Chinese USB capture device that doesn't seem to care about macrovision so I can "rip" them when I run across them.

This is great, be sure to upload them to archive.org, you could be doing a great service to future generations!

The miners have all the control of bitcoin. Miners currently are making huge profits off mining and selling bitcoin to rubes. Do you think that miners will vote in favour of changing the protocol to make themselves redundant?

The miners could change their mind if users start flocking to a different coin. If ETH can also address the question of scaling, something may budge.

Why not pick a state that borders the great lakes with ample fresh water?

Most probably the answer is: cost of labour and taxes exceed the cost of water. The same reason why the northern states lost their car industry.

It was (is?) a race to the bottom in worker rights. The federal government should have established a level playing field, or, at the very least, a minimum standard, but chose not to.
