It's great. I no longer have to see amazon.* results anywhere. Or pinterest. Or junk sites in general. Kagi also has this feature built-in to the site.

AI on an Android phone isn't the flex you think it is.

They already do. His name is Angel Hernandez.

I hate baseball and even I know about this twat.

I so want to give you an upvote. If only I had mod points today. This behavior is one of the most f*cking infuriating things in my daily misery of using MS Software for work. What's even more annoying is that apparently it was b/c it was Billion Gates' preferred method for forwarding, carried over from some god forsaken email client he had used in the past. And we're still stuck with it 30+ years later.

This is pretty much always what happens when you let a non-engineer lead an engineering company. It's always a very high likelihood of tanking: IBM, HP, Boeing, GM, Intel is getting there... we'll see if the ship can be righted. And these are just the obvious ones. I'm certain with time I could find many more (likely a lot of 80s mainframe companies).

Throw out all business admin BAs or accounting BAs from the helm of any and all engineering firms - they simply don't know shit, except maybe how to shotgun a beer.

What? I'd be too happy driving my 800hp all wheel drive electric truck to bother with a display.

Username checks out.

I agree with most of this except:

Yes, you can. At least in the US.

Oh, how I wish I had mod points for parent.

Who cares about seeing your traffic? Google /owns the browser/. They see all of your history and activity. All this scheme does is prevent parties /other than Google/ from seeing your traffic.

You'll need the 2023 copy though. I say this as a licensed electrician. Who thinks the NFPA is a pain in the ass.

If you wish to spend the money, a very basic 1-2 disk Synology can do most of that for you. But it does require some knowledge of how to set up mail. And if you want to make sure all of your friends who annoyingly use Gmail can actually get your email, you're going to have to enable at least SPF, and probably DKIM.

But I also type this as a person who always uses business class internet with a static IP and has hosted his own email for almost 25 years. No data caps and a static IP are kinda nice like that.

The filters for logstash also use a Ruby plugin which appears to be a very common setup for the platform. And is what I am forced to use at work. It's a bit naff.

This has happened in Oregon, as previously stated. I think the upshot is that PEs are twats. I've met several and I've never come across more overinflated, self-important arseholes than PEs. Well, neurosurgeons are up there, too.

Tell them to shut up and sit down.

I'm yet another one. We're out there. But I suspect amongst slashdot we're as rare as a double chainring crankset.

I would also pay the monthly fee. After all, I'm using a service, I should pay for it. But I know that even in paying, Google is /still/ going to make me the product. So uBlock Origin it is.

I'm lucky enough to like several (well, 10-12) creators that also stream on Nebula, so I pay for that service. I wish everybody I liked was over there but I can't have everything.
