Intelligence is the obvious choice for many /. readers (I voted for kindness cuz there ain't enough of that).
I wonder how different the results might be if this were taken in a different community -- say where the preponderance of respondees were gregarious salespeople, and not the techie crowd we all see here. A different time (not the early 21st century) -- intelligence was seen as a liability for a girl friend (or wife) not so long ago. A different place -- not predominantly the U.S., Canada, and Western Europe, but maybe China, India, or Africa.
Interesting to ponder at least.
