I can't imagine it's as versatile or practically useful as Bubblewrap. It's based on limiting syscalls rather than namespaces, and too many processes are going to need access to too many for this approach to make sense. It makes sense when developers opt in, but not as a wrapper like the approach being tried here.

What you're talking about, using the default hidden Administrator account, hasn't been possible since Vista.

Fedora is still training wheels lol. If you don't want training wheels use Artix or Gentoo or Void or Alpine or something.

The people that like systemd are generally significantly less informed, hence having a less strong opinion.

"Regular people" are not dealing with systemd or SysV, both would be hidden/abstracted away from them.

That's just not true. You can remove any factory installed keys and generate your own key and sign your bootloader, and it is indeed a huge boost in security.

Unless it's outlawed globally it won't solve anything, and even then it still can't be stopped. People can still exchange it for cash in person.

I loved it when I first used it, version 8. Learned a lot about Linux and it was amazing compared to Red Hat, Debian and early Gentoo.

At some point it tried to compete with Ubuntu, and required a full install (when I always opted for a minimal installation before without issues), and even samba to be installed just to get mplayer to run.

At that point Arch had clearly replaced it.

What is Slackware these days, or what is it trying to be?
