Midomi has been around a while on the net (http://www.midomi.com/) and works quite well for this. Just hum a tune and it will identify the song for you. I believe they have released an app for this now too (SoundHound)

In Japanese, it is actually the - character and not ~ when typing correctly. When you want to elongated the vowel, you use the - button. i.e. Computer is Konpyu-ta-. However, when people are trying to be cute, they sometimes use ~ to make some exclamations longer. Not used for foreign words like computer.

Both companies states that the vulnerability is currently being exploited by malicious websites. One attack vector is through Internet Explorer 6/7 — so be aware where you surf to."

Nuclear Tech Race Is On In Middle East 352

CaroKann writes "The TimesOnline is reporting that six Middle Eastern nations have announced interest in developing nuclear technology. The nations involved are Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, the UAE and Saudi Arabia, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency. The Middle East Economic Digest states that most of these nations are interested in developing nuclear technology for the purpose of powering desalination plants. However, the International Institute for Strategic Studies, suggests that the sudden interest in nuclear technology is driven by the desire of the six nations to create a 'security hedge' in response to Iran's recent nuclear development program."
