"AI" coding is a waste of time and effort. I've tried all the "AI"s, and they are all similarly bad at coding, delivering bad result after bad result. The few times it gets it right have been slower than I could have written the code myself. It isn't saving anyone any time except for maybe people with zero coding ability using vibe coding tools. If pro coders really looked at all the hassle that goes along with "AI" coding tools, they aren't really saving any time if they were any good to begin with. And if they aren't any good then they won't realize the mistakes "AI" is making and they will introduce those bugs into the codebase. Zuckerberk is just trying to justify all the money they've spent on "AI" by making his employees use it.

I take issue with the "improve accuracy" claim, with the exception of improving grammar. Many people lack the ability to write grammatically correct sentences, so it does help there, but so does a simple spell checker and tools we've already had forever. Though the text "AI" produces is technically correct, it always sounds like a bot wrote it. There's just something hollow about it.

>But like any tool, they need to be used with transparency and critical thinking

Well then we're fucked from the start. The problem is people don't use critical thinking anymore, which is why people submit "AI" generated court cases that don't exist, and then they end up in trouble. "Support decision making"? LMFAO
