I had a VW with the crap stock AM radio. I put a decent FM radio w/ tape deck (expensive back then) but I hid the install behind a panel In the glove box. My bug was broken into more than once, but no one ever found my FM radio!

Like anyone was going to say SI. lol (okay, you got me, those sycophants at the White House did say SI)

But when you give percentages as facts, you must state your basis values, and back up assumptions. % total from X or year over year? Volume? Mass? length along an axis? What year are you starting from? Sheesh, the world is in trouble, less so because of climate challenges, more so because of "intelligent people" challenges.

It's a Guardian story, what are you expecting?

I didn't expect much but I did expect a little more than this . . . lol

I'm in the middle of NIH/SBIR grant submission, and the process and number of forms is a nightmare. I was thinking of giving up on the application because we a very small lab and can't afford the time overhead to deal with this. I was just telling a friend this would be perfect opportunity to get agentic AI on it; let them fill out the damn forms.

Also I would think these CEO comments put huge liability target on their companies. An easy case to prove that the companies knew the problems and did nothing.

But the watch is a hit for me. Why? because I don't have to carry my phone around. And you can add your debit/credit cards and do Apple Pay from your watch. In CA, you can add your drivers license and it shows up in your wallet, so does your proof of insurance for driving (if you have the app of course).

It's not perfect and sometimes I don't want any connectivity, but to me not having to carry my phone around is big deal.
