I have used locate32 on my Windows XP machine for indexing the local and shared drives. My shared volumes server runs Linux, so I tried utilizing its locate-database. Unfortunately I came to the conclusion that locate32 and the Unix/Linux variant of locate are not compatible at all. However, if you are using a Windows server then you can run locate32 on the server and allow the clients machines to access it.

So there would be less money for organized crime if everyone downloaded music and movies, in stead of buying pirate copies?

Taking into account how much force you apply to the consumer product, I would say the legendary TAC-2 joystick for the Commodore 64 is even tougher than the Game Boy!

Hank Powers writes "The legal status of the Zeta operating system that was derived from the source code Be Inc. left shortly before going bankrupt has been unclear for several years. Now, the current owner of the source code, ACCESS, claims "if Herr Korz feels that he holds a legitimate license to the BeOS code he's been using, we're completely unaware of it, and I'd be fascinated to see him produce any substantiation for that claim". The sales of Zeta have been suspended and so has the development been halted as well. OSNews has an article about the recent developments."
