Rail is 50 million per mile. So, even if you took all that money away from the rail line, and dumped it into making new roads, you'd only get a road and a half.
Not in MN. The new SW light rail line from downtown Minneapolis to Eden Prairie is running around 186 million a mile and that's if there are no more cost over runs. And there WILL be more cost over runs.
Do those borders include the front door to where you live? Because if you mean what you say then anyone can just move in with you when they feel like it and without asking, right? Or are you the standard issue left whereby other people have to follow your BS ideology but not you, because you're special?
Mod this up. Whenever I see one of those "Everyone welcome" signs in someone's yard I have to fight the urge to park and walk into their house to see what's for dinner.
What I see is a man child who doesn't like being told what to do by others.
Anyone who DOES like to be told what to do by others is pitiful.
I also want other people to pay for a larger welfare state, universal healthcare, childcare and education.
There, fixed it for you.
Sucks to go through the security theater at all but like the stupid Covid theater, it's that or not travel.
Jesus, what a crappy fear ridden country this has become.
PS: Have you seen the video of what the cops did? That's murder, right there. If they weren't cops they'd be in jail right now. Plus the paramedics who just loaded him on a gurney without even checking if he had a pulse or not.
I've watched the video several times. Disclaimer: I'm an international judo and BJJ competitor. The knee on neck position is painful as hell and would probably get a tap but it's not lethal in and of itself. It's not a "choke hold" as people are saying. Mr. Floyd is talking right up until the very end both begging to be let up and responding to people in the crowd. Unless his neck broke, and an autopsy will reveal that, he wasn't killed by the restraint.
My question is why did the cops just hold him there for so long? My speculation is that they had called the EMT's and were waiting. Why would they do that? Minneapolis has a history of calling for medical help to subdue unruly arrestees. The medical people will shoot them up with ketamine and haul them off. Clearly the ambulance had been called earlier. It arrived on scene moments after he became unresponsive.
Just my observation of limited video and speculation on why they kept him down. Also IMHO, no cop, even if he was a member of the Klan, would willingly kill a suspect in full view of taping bystanders. The static positions of the cops looks like waiting for the EMT's. Crappy training and/or procedures perhaps but I don't see it as intentional murder.
However, the city is desperate for a murder conviction to try and prevent further looting.
And 10,000 or more of those were from nursing homes and those were because they sent Covid-19 positive patients there....when they KNEW that the sick/elderly were the most vulnerable. They did the same thing in England.
Same thing in Minnesota. The governor justifies destroying the economy in order to "protect the most vulnerable". The local fish wrap shows heart wrenching pictures of family members holding up signs of love at the front door while active Covid patients are being quietly wheeled in the back door.
Wrong. It started with Clinton after the first WTC bombing. Bush just slapped a little lipstick on that pig and gave it a snappy new name.
System restarting, wait...
