Journal johndiii's Journal: What's Closest To The Heart 6

What's closest to the heart comes out
        Closest, next or near it
What's closest to the heart comes out
        Listen, you'll hear it
We have come the weary roads
        Through the weather
In the hollow of the wild
        Will we be together?

Come in from the wind and rain
        Come in from the thunder
Come in with your aching heart
I won't see you go under
I'll hold you from the bitter cold
        Through the wonder
In the hollow of the wild
        No more need to hunger

What's closest to the heart comes out
        Closest, next or near it
What's closest to the heart comes out
        You'll hear it
        Music in the darkest night
        With you beside me
In the hollow of the wild
Come and feel the warming fire

You and me, me and you
Will you come? You're welcome to
        Á dtiocfá tú?
        Á dtiocfá tú?

                        -- Cathie Ryan

Mood track, I think... Trust me, the track is very good. :-)

"Á dtiocfá tú?" translates as "Will you come?"

  • I am feeling strange this evening. This is where my mind lies this evening:

Wise man said, "Just walk this way
To the dawn of the light
The wind will blow into your face
As the years pass you by"

"Hear this voice from deep inside
It's the call of your heart
Close your eyes and your will find
    Passage out of the dark"

    Here I am
Will you send me an angel?
    Here I am
In the land of the morning star

Wise man said, "Just find your place
In the eye of the storm
Seek the roses along the way
    Just beware of the t

    • I'd send you an angel, if I could. I would come myself, though I am not exactly an angel. :-)

I've a thing or two to send you. I know that you've likely little time for distractions, but... Anyway, I hope that your preparations go well. I will be looking forward to your return.
    • Just had a chance to listen (that one is not on my machine at work). I like it. But I think that I understand the strange mood a little better. Music often conveys what lyrics alone do not.

I bought a couple of their discs after you pointed me toward them a couple of years ago. You've been good for my musical taste. Have you composed any more of your own? Do you still have your keyboard?

Take my hand - the way will be better together.
    • You've been quiet. I hope that dropping offline early was something good.
    • You are much in my thoughts and prayers. I wait in hope. And in love. Thine.
  • running thru my brain this morning, whistling and singing it all the way to work:

    Six foot tall
    Came without a warning
So I had to shoot him dead
    (refrain)
You don't care about me anymore
No, you don't care about me anymore
    I don't feel so bad. ...

If the human brain were so simple that we could understand it, we would be so simple we couldn't.

Working...
