What do you do when your son makes some questionable choices, and manages to kill himself in the process? You sue, of course. The restaurant that provided his drinks, the person driving the car that he hit, and the towing company that was attempting to get the car off the road.
It may be reasonable to include the restaurant. As long ago as 1979, when I last worked tending bar, we were told not to serve intoxicated patrons. By now, it is a fairly well-established rule. On the other hand, there was apparently no one holding him down and forcing the drinks down his throat. And, however much they should resist, it's often hard for restaurant employees to refuse to serve a high-status customer.
But the tow-truck driver? And the driver of the stalled car? Perhaps he should have included the company and the construction workers that built the highway. And the Cardinals organization, that paid him the money that he used to buy the drinks and the SUV that he crashed. And the woman who was talking to him on his cell phone. And whoever sold him the pot that was in the car.

Never mind the death of my son, I've got this chance to steal money, big money, legally, from barely-related and totally-unrelated parties, and I need to make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Getting other peoples' money is not justified, and won't bring back my son, but only a fool would pass on the opportunity to become rich, righ
