Hey! My book Hacking TiVo got reviewed on slashdot!!

Today it hit #5 on amazon.com (and it's been #1 in amazon.com's Computers/Internet category for over two weeks).

I got sick of seeing No Journal Entries every time I went into my slashdot page, so here's a journal entry.

I do think the whole friend system is kind of interesting, especially somewhere like here where it serves a purpose.. Being able to see a friend's comments highlited (with the friend icon etc) or even elevated (if you choose to do so) is a useful application of the six-degrees type of networking data.

I'd love to see this working on amazon.com, where I could see things my friends liked too, or be warned about things that they thought really suck. Maybe it's there and I just don't know about it, and/or haven't had the time to motivate people to join.

Anyway, there's my journal entry. And oh yeah, go buy my book . :)
