not unlike others. i wonder why interwoven products take twelve point three four bajillion minutes to download? i think windows active directory is silly, its even more silly when you install it and promptly screw-up the admin password so you can't log into the machine you installed it on.

la la la la, my laptop is plugged into the wall. i do like applesauce quite a lot. its nearly time for a haircut.

    • there, how was that for a comment?

Just fine... I have no idea what to reply to you, but that's okay.

    • i would say he barks like a terrier, really. It's kind of bizarre. And then if people bark at him (as has happened) he completely flips out, and starts growling.

Very weird. But he dresses himself, so he obviously doesn't really think he's a dog.

      (i hope.)

because they're interwoven, of course- do you know how long it takes to untangle them and fit a clog like that through the little wires? a LONG TIME.

Then they have to be woven together ag
      • I nominate this JE for a bored-statement-of-the-week award.

Thank you, thank you... I wouldn't have managed without the people at slashdot. People who always jump on the most inane memes and give input that is often less than useful but entertaining to read.

Of course, I also want to thank my daddy and my mommy. Without these folks I wouldn't be here to be bored ;-)

Why? Because I'm bored and because this comment [slashdot.org]. Seems I haven't got a hugely filled journal in ages ;-) Call it vanity :-P

    • I don't know. At first it seems like that's a logical thought, but looking deeper we find it to be terribly flawed. See, there's this and that other thing to take into account too. While it's certainly a natural thought, I wouldn't blame anybody for feeling that way, I think we're all better off if we look into why we're thinking as such.

Or something... it's a comment anyway.

Yes, it is... Still trying to make sense of it tough ;-)

        • Hey, you never said they had to make sense. I figured referencing the parent in a tangental, not mentioning any specifics of what I could possibly be refering to way was okay. It was at least a wordy, vacuous comment that leaves the illusion of relevency if you don't ponder it too deeply.

  • I refuse to play along with your little game of filling up a journal with as many comments as possible.

  • I was at Wondercon where they talked about Tom wanting to do his own stunts. That's actually Tom himself being knocked against the car in the movie trailer. It makes no sense, though, because the explosion is clearly straight behind him, but you see him flying off to the side into the car. It's really stupid. It's probably only in there because Tom did the stunt, and thought it was cool, so he said it had to be in there. I mean, I understand that it's "only a movie," but when I see somebody being knock

  • I was going to write one, but my kitty is grabbing my arm and telling me to go (play with her). ;-)

  • The concept of switching to a non-government regulated decentralized "mesh-network" (in transfers, not physical topology) based anonymous banking system is very attractive. The very act of shutting out any possibility of government auditing probably renders it highly illegal in most of the wealthmongering world, though.

I saw an Audi TT thursday, thought of your sporty ride. You still terrorizing the streets of Luxembourg with that coupe?

Oh, and how awesome is married life? I know, I know. Teh awEsoME!!1!!

Of course, I do! It's 6 years old, still purring like a kitten and it's paid for. What more could I ask for? I mean, my next car will probably be one where I can transport kids with, so I put that off as long as it goes ;-)

  • My relatives include pilots downed in WW2 on the Russian side, in WW2 on the British side, and in WW1 on the Austrian side. Whee.:P
    • Was this a drunk post? Just wondering...

I do not know much about the activities of my family in either world war. I know that my grandfather (father side) was in a concentration camp because he was a commie. (Or so, I have been told) There are other tales, especially because my great-grandma (mother side) was German and thus that complicated stuff during the second world war. At least it explains where my blue eyes and blonde hair come from ;-)
