Comment online radios, virtual dance halls (Score 1) 42

Or, you can just listen to online radios, such as Argentine Tango Radio.

Social dancers are also making an attempt to utilize large video conferencing apps such as Zoom to connect members of the dancing community, who are dancing at their home while being quarantined. Here you can read about experiences from the world's first live virtual Argentine tango milonga, but I'm sure similar attempts will also pop up in the salsa, bachata etc communities.

Of course this idea is not as new as it had been suggested; the physical plausibility of sending observers into Kerr black hole so that they survive the trip have already been thoroughly investigated by other authors in peer reviewed journals (i.e. "Relativistic computers and the Turing barrier" by István Németi and Gyula Dávid, https://ancillary-proxy.atarimworker.io?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdoi.org%2F10.1016%2Fj.amc.... ) in the, I shall say thoroughly sci-fi movie worth, context of general relativistic hypercomputation.

... no more, unfortunately. The fascist Orban regime just ripped the research institutes out from under the Hungarian Academy of Sciences three months ago. The livelihood of researchers, such as Attila Krasznahorkay, under a new umbrella organization with more direct political control, is now in a limbo. Thanks European Union, by the way, for letting this (and similar moves, such as kicking out Central European University from Budapest) happen without any sanctions.

Submission + - Gov't contractor charged with leaking classified info to media (thehill.com)

schwit1 writes: The Department of Justice charged 25-year-old government contractor Reality Leigh Winner with sharing top secret material with a media outlet, prosecutors announced in a press release Monday.

The DOJ press release don't specify which media outlet received the materials allegedly leaked by Winner, but NBC News reported that the material went to the Intercept online news outlet.

The Intercept published a top secret NSA report Monday that alleged Russian military intelligence launched a 2016 cyberattack on a voting software company.

Details on the report published by The Intercept suggest that it was created on May 5, 2017 — the same day prosecutors say the materials Winner is charged with sharing were created. A Justice Department spokesman declined to comment on whether Winner is accused of sharing the report published by the Intercept.

Last month, Winner allegedly “printed and improperly removed classified intelligence reporting, which contained classified national defense information” before mailing the materials to an unnamed online news outlet a few days later, according to prosecutors.
