Furthermore, since when is "fish" an essential food group?
The very diet this "study" claims to base its analysis on - the "Eatwell guide" - doesn't separate fish out other meats. It's basically just a reiteration of the "Mediterranean diet" from the 90's, and its true title should be "if you're middle-class in the UK and not concerned about money, but concerned about your waistline, try this."

Comment Re:Misleading (Score 1) 115

That's pretty much all bullcrap.
Lack of variety in the diet was not the cause of "most" death in pre-industrial-era humans. It was malnutrition and disease combined. Malnutrition and lack of variety are not the same thing.
Furthermore, the idea that people who eat more meat specifically "need" to exercise more makes no sense. Meat is protein-rich, not calorie-rich.
Your claim that people needed to be larger to "burn more body heat" in cold environments is also garbage. Humans have been making fire and dressing up warm in materials made from plant and animal material for a very long time and learned to vary it by region.

Instead of copping out with "no one can know anything", why don't you try learning about the context that Russians have been living in for the last couple decades.

That article states: "Ukrainian authorities said on Sunday they were investigating possible war crimes by Russia after finding hundreds of bodies strewn around towns outside the capital Kyiv following Russian troops' withdrawal from the area."

The UN was pretty clearly shutting down a case of "whataboutism." Fancy that, war crimes happening after an invasion by a force composed of convicted criminals. If there's one kind of person Russians hate more than anyone else... It's other Russians.

Treaty?? That's hilarious. The satellite photos don't lie. Russia bungled its first move in the invasion and has been bungling ever since. Throwing masses of old hardware, convicts, and increasing numbers of desperate conscripts at Ukraine has gotten them an utterly pathetic occupation on the eastern fringe. Now they're putting schmucks on motorbikes to try and outrun drones. What a shameful waste of human life.

Tuck your tail and go home, and take your propaganda with you.

That's probably the most embarrassing bit. We all saw the sat photos of Russian hardware building up on the Ukraine border for months, and when they finally sent all of that in towards Kyiv, in a giant exposed conga line, half of them _ran_out_of_gas_. And then all of them were destroyed -- half from being blown up, and half from just being abandoned due to breaking down on the way.

But hey, the great thing about Russians is, they are very willing to suffer heavy, heavy losses. May they suffer in this invasion and occupation for another decade, until the entire adult population has been drafted into nonexistence... As long as the food and money keeps arriving in Moscow, all is well, comrade.
