Corporations don't care. It's all about the next quarterly report. Long term consequences like that don't enter into the thinking at all.

Companies are all liars. This is all just a way to reduce workforce by getting people to quit, which is cheaper than layoff or unemployment.

Don't forget they will have no problem replacing you with someone who works half way around the world.

Every time you hear a company do this remember what this really is.....it's a free layoff without having to pay unemployment or severance.

I am convinced all the back to work games are all attempts by desperate companies to get people to quit because it's intimately cheaper than laying someone off.

ChatGPT like bots are all trained on HUMAN content. They produce none of their own. All they are really is fancy search engines, with advanced indexing and topic association matrix, and some code to output their results in some predefined formats.

The really interesting thought experiment is this.

If the AI's are all trained on human work output, but then they AI replace all the humans, who is going to create the original source material that the AI will be trained on? Or will all knowledge be frozen in time at the point where the AI replace the humans? Will nothing new ever be created? Will no new programming languages ever be designed if AI is doing all the programming?

Unlimited cheap clean energy has been here since 1950s, they just won't let us use it.

This sounds like by far the best way to harvest data from developers to further train you AI to move from partially to totally taking their jobs.
