If the RAM limitation was to prevent resellers from sourcing cheap RAM chips, and adding them to low RAM versions of RPi for a markup, and the RAM limitation is easily bypassed with and SPI firmware downgrade, then what is to stop the resellers from continuing to do that and also downgrading the firmware? What's the point?

The bigger question is: Why does a MONITOR need to have software installed? In the past, I have seen monitors ship with a CD-ROM, but it is not required. It usually just contains some software for health and ergonomics to help you adjust the height and position of the monitor, and maybe a timer to remind you to take a break at specific intervals.But you don't NEED to install that. I could also maybe see some sort of color profile installer that would be useful if you're working with photo-realistic images or photoshop or something, but that's just a single file, and not an exe file. These were all in the days of VGA analog monitor connections, so I may be out of date here, but I have never even installed any software for my HDMI or Displayport connected monitors. What gives?

I second that emotion, but have some serious practical concerns.

All the options are "Bolt-On", as in you can just add them during construction, or as an afterthought. In fact, each of the body panels has a bolt hole where it is secured to the frame.

If it's so easy to add the options with a wrench, it's also easy to remove them. Park your truck in a bad neighborhood and see how fast it gets stripped.

Also, those bolt holes are just asking for water intrusion, inviting rust and corrosion. I wonder if this truck has been tested in wet/salty climates for extended periods of time.

We have recently been acutely aware that billionaires do not think or care about the welfare of ordinary people. So why would they want UBI for them? I can assure you, it's not out of kindness.

My response to their request for UBI would be to ask how many workers they expect to lose to AI, and ask what the average salary is of those workers. Then, add 25% (because, you know, billionaire CEOs are also liars), Multiply, and then tax the company that much to make it not worth their while.
