Another reason for the gap between Norway and the rest of the nordics is that chinese EVs are freely available in Norway, whereas the EU (that includes Denmark, Finland and Sweden) regulates their import. Also, pretty much everything in Norway eased EV adoption:
1. Hydropower and very low electricity prices (although now this changes drastically due to electricity exports to mainland europe; spot-prices are through the roof!).
2. It's very popular to own a house, which means that pretty much everyone can charge at home overnight.
3. Due to the extreme cold, outside parking lots are equipped with electric outlets for keeping your car warm in the winter. The original use was meant for supporting a small diesel heater and a fan that would burn some of your car's fuel for preventing the car from freezing over. They are now used for trickle-charging EVs while the people are at work.

Thanks for your comment. But I would think that high-caliber mathematicians are going to do their maths anyway, because that's what they like to do. I would also predict that they will be letting AI do the grunt work while they can spend even more time (than now) imagining new techniques and possible solution pathways. AI is forcing a higher level of abstraction in science, where the human factor is the creative force and AI takes it from there. On the other hand, if AI can actually be creative (as it seems to be in at least some cases) then oh, boy it's going to get interesting...
