As always, Microsoft can't help but punch themselves in the dick, and it's been like this for decades. They have the option to provide services to leading agencies and they somewhat provide it because people who write these fucking contracts say Microsoft can be "accountable" but I've never seen any actual accountability. EA is perfectly fine to burn through their developers like this - there are plenty of people who still think it's "prestigious" or desirable to work for a games company, and especially one that is "successful" enough that people would be clamouring for the opportunity. The absolute churn I see with these companies is insane.

Same here, at least that much. Am I burned out? Hell no, my life is amazingly easier. I spend most of my time thinking about what I want to accomplish, and then my AI minions do the vast majority of it for me with little effort on my part. I guess for some people the temptation to keep on pushing is irresistible and they overdo it.

I can literally trace all of society's current ills to online advertising - the death of actual journalism, the rise of heinous social media, the rise of right wing authoritarianism due to the nature of sites that can stay alive due to advertising.
