Somewhat amusing that back in the day UK actors lived in dread that their 6-12 episode/year series would get imported to the US and it's 26 episode treadmill. How can a real actor play the same character more than a dozen times a year? But now with streaming these short British length runs are the norm.

For the failed effort to make a flood warning system a decade ago it was explicitly decided omit sirens. It's politicians and internet-certified experts who declare that sirens are what's needed.

The work requirements are expressed in terms of hours, not employment. Says alot about how Republicans think. No exempt employment, no living off unearned income like they do.

I expect the 2nd on your list (reporting requirements) will have the greatest impact. It doubles the amount of paperwork for both applicant and case worker. Cracks on both ends for people to fall through.

I was/am expecting TrumpReich to use the 13th Amendment loophole. Illegals, being guilty of being illegal, would be send to the camps being eagerly built by Florida and Texas. Under a Department of Labor program they will be assigned to a Department of Agriculture program to provide slave labor to America's farmers. Whole thing sounds like Stephen Himmler's wet dream.

I watch NewsHour almost entirely for technical reasons. (When youtube fires another of their anti-viewer vollies, I can get NH directly from pbs.org (but it's 3x the filesize).)

For epitome, day-after-election (2024) a montage of voters included a young Trump voting man saying how Democrats attacked everything about men. The very next segment was a full 5+ minutes of two women doing exactly what that young man said.
For another, few years ago they interviewed two Florida kids who were attacked for being queer by other kids. I couldn't help thinking that if I tuned in FoxNews, they would be interviewing the attackers.

They always call out "of color", "woman of color", etc. (except form Nikki Haley (I wonder why)) Reminds me of how in Roger Rabbit there was an irresistible method of getting 'Tunes to expose themselves...they couldn't help themselves.

Assholes at Amazon will find a way to detect TV on mute and...turn it off, or pause the ad.

So far, my analog ad blocker has mostly worked; haven't heard or seen an ad except a brand name on accident. But it wastes my time and ruins viewing. Eventually Assholes at Amazon will eliminate the ad timer in the corner.
